Here are two photos of the SKYWARN Table that Pete KB1PCK and Steve K1SJW set up and manned at the NARL Hamfest on Sat. 6/21.  We ran two SKYWARN special weather nets on the 146.790 repeater from this location demonstrating SKYWARN communications in CT. Thanks to the PVRA for the use of the repeater and to all spotters and amateur radio operators that checked into the nets and provided us with weather information.

The table was set up with a laptop running a powerpoint presentation of photos from various SKYWARN training sessions, the tour of WFSB studios, the tour of the P-3 Orion Hurricane Hunter at N Kingston Rhode Island ,and photos of storm damage and flooding conditions in Litchfield County.

The table also had many handouts from the National Weather Service and American Red Cross related to severe storm safety. In addition we ran an Icom 2100H with power supply into a 5/8 wave mag mount antenna for communication on the 146.79 PVRA Repeater in Vernon for the SKYWARN nets.

It was great to meet many hams and talk with them about SKYWARN in CT. I also gave a power point presentation on SKYWARN at the hamfest.
